401(k) Plan and Profit Sharing Plan

The Masterplan 401(k) Plan provides an opportunity for employees to defer taxes and save for retirement at the same time. The Masterplan 401(k) Plan allows you to contribute a maximum of $15,500.00 of your annual income into a tax-deferred interest bearing account. Masterplan matches your contribution dollar for dollar up to 3%.

You are always 100% vested in your own contributions. You will become 20% vested after 2 years of employment (must work 1,000 hours per calendar year each year and thereafter). You will become 40% vested in the company contributions and earnings after three years (must work 1,000 hours per calendar year each year and thereafter).  You will continue to vest at the rate of 20% per year for each year, and after six years you will be 100% vested. A year of service is a calendar year in which you work at least 1,000 hours dating back to your date of hire.

There are limitations on withdrawals because it is a tax deferred savings plan. However, our Plan includes a loan provision, which gives you the ability to borrow some portion of your account. To be eligible to participate, you must be a regular full-time employee, regular part-time employee, or temporary employee employed by Masterplan for three continuous months and you may enter on one of four entry dates: January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1.
