Biomedical Engineer

Biomedical Engineer performs and documents preventive maintenance and repair of general medical equipment and systems with minimal supervision from service management to perform required duties. The Biomedical Engineer must demonstrate a working knowledge and use of required test equipment and the electronics, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information, required to perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established Masterplan procedures. The Biomedical Engineer must demonstrate good organizational skills as well as good communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with Masterplan personnel and facility staff in accordance with established Masterplan operational and personnel policies and procedures.

District Manager

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists in performing pre-proposal surveys, audits and analyses, and prepares proposals for new clients and renewals for existing clients.
2. Presents new proposals and renewal quotations (perhaps jointly with sales.)
3. Prepares Equipment Master Lists (EMLs) for new accounts.
4. Ensures that vendor letters are distributed to the proper offices at the beginning of each contract period.
5. Conducts start-up meetings with each new account and meets with facility personnel at quarterly follow-up site visits to determine satisfaction with maintenance being provided.
6. Provides 24 hour response capability for special P.O. calls.
7. Researches and documents alternate sources for maintenance services and replacement parts.
8. Reviews and approves all vendor invoices and associated service reports, performs any necessary follow-up (on technical issues) with either the vendor or the client, and verifies the accuracy of data entered into account's maintenance history file.
9. Generates customer cost-avoidance reports, as appropriate.
10. Arranges start-up meeting with new local vendor representatives and thereafter meets with vendors as needed to resolve problems. Researches and documents the number and capabilities of their service personnel. If possible identifies facilities in which they are working, and obtains references from those facilities.
11. Negotiates with maintenance vendors for PM-only contracts or other types of group contracts, as needed.

Director of Vendor Relations

The Director of Vendor Relations will be an excellent relationship builder with OEMs such as GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba and will be responsible for negotiating the best prices for parts and service on biomedical and diagnostic imaging equipment. This position will be based in Southern California but travel will be involved on a regular basis. Salary commensurate with experience but base in the $100,000s with an excellent bonus package. The successful candidate will be a savvy negotiator with years of experience as a materials manager or purchasing agent for a large hospital group or in the biomedical equipment maintenance industry.
